Jems Journal

10/07/1940---Today, I learned that Tom Robinson was convicted. He is guilty of rape. Now that's just stupid. Atticus proved that he is innocent, he is the best lawyer in all of Maycomb. It all just makes me wanna cry, I think I already am crying, but I can't tell if that's sweat or tears. If it is tears, I can't hold them back. Life is changing so quickly, this isn't the good adult world I have heard about for so long, nada, just isn't.

10/08/1940---All the folks here in Maycomb agree with it. Maybe it's because that they know that a black man being proven innocent has never happened and will never happen. So much bad stuff has happened ever since we invented the Boo Radley game, maybe Mr. Avery was right....

10/13/1940---Atticus is bein' stuck up and won't buy a gun. Mr. Ewell is gonna hurt him but he won't buy a gun. He knows he's the deadliest shot in the county, why can't he get a gun then, even if it will only have one bullet? What if Bob Ewell actually hurts him..we won't be able to get food and aunt Alexandra will take over. We all know that if she takes over, the first thing she is gonna do is get rid of Calpurnia and send Dill home and make me and Scout act proper.Aunt is okay, but she can be a real pain.

Book Cover

The reason this is my book cover is due to the fact that the mockingbird symbolizes purity and innocence. As the picture of the mockingbird is somewhat transparent, it gives in to the idea that purity and innocence fades away over time. As for the house, that's what I imagine the Finch's residence looking like. The reason for the mockingbird standing on a stone in front of the house making it seem like the bigger picture. As this is how a ruler is portrayed to a kingdom, as being the bigger picture. It symbolizes innocence being the ruler and controller of the house as most of the people in it; Atticus, Jem, Scout, Calpurnia, are mockingbirds.

As for the sepia, it was widely used during this time period as the book takes place around the late 1930's to early 1940's.

Publicity and Survival

There are many differences between the Lord Of the Flies book and movies. Three of the main differences are the boys coming from the same military school, there being no choir, and that it is set in a differenct time period.

In the book, all of the bous come from different parts of Britain. They didn't know each other and lacked knowledge of the others leadership skills. This is also the reason they had a vote for chief. Golding is saying that by establishing a shaky government on simple ground rules following a unknown leader, there is bound to be problems. It shows Goldings view of politics to a certain degree as presidents, prime ministers, etc, are most of the time unknown to the whole population.

In the movie, the boys already know each as they come from the same military school. This meant that they already knew each other and their place in authority. They all had titles such as commander, colonel, general, etc. This means they had no problems establishing a government and deciding who will be leader as Ralph already had the highest position. Due to this, there was no external conflict between Jack and Ralph.

The differences might not seem like much, but this is one of the most important things in the book. The lack of being able to find the right leader is why Jack split away from the tribe, since he wanted power but it went to Ralph as he seemed to be a natural born leader. This conflict later lead to Ralph being hunted down for wanting to bring the tribe back together and losing all of the boys to Jack's tribe.

The next difference is that the boys are British in the book while they are American in the movie. The reason Golding made the boys British is because he is British himself and that British boys were being evacuated during WWII. Watching British boys perform such acts when they are supposed to be all proper and clean was part of the irony Golding had. It shows up in the end when the naval officer says he didn't expect British boys to act like that.

The movie made the boys different since it was made in a different time span. It connects with the other reason of it being placed as there was no evacuation of Britain during the Cold War. The boys are portrayed much more differently, being more aggressive and cold to each other while the only ones who retain their original personality are Piggy and Simon. They retain the form of purity they had while the others, even Ralph, are changed. It goes with the thought of Americans being militaristic and cruel, as they are portrayed like that more often in media around the world.

The reason for the change is to show the difference of portrayel of cultures. Americans are said to have a greater army and to be more tough, as was the case during the 60's. In the 40's, Britains were said to be proper and knowledgeable, something that goes on today. It is also pretty significant as it the decent into savegery isn't shown as clearly.

The last change is the lack of a choir. The choir symbolizes the Nazi and Hitler in the book, something that was a major figure during WWII. The choir also symbolized Goldings view of Religion, that it can corrupt and be easily broken. Jack symbolized Hitler, as being the leader of the choir and the most cruel, having developed a a bloody chant for killing the pig and being obsessed with killing the weaker species. The main symbolism for the boys is the beast within, it makes you wonder that if the choir, who are supposed to be the most religious, are so cruel and non-religious.

The lack of a choir in the movie makes it harder to see what the beast is, infact, they don't even call it a beast in the movie. The lack of a choir is due to two possible reasons: There being no Nazi during the 1960's, and the lack of a internal entity that causes the boys to decend into savegery. The lack of a choir means that the boys do not have a external conflict between them due to supression.

The choir are a main part of the story. Instead of the boys joining due to being promised fun and food as in the book, they join out of pure choice in the movie.  They are always behind Jack while the movie doesn't make them look like they are with Jack out of the fact he's the leader of the choir, it makes the boys in it seem more like his posse.

All in all, the movie did somewhat of a good job staying true to the book, but with more of the scenes being part of the script. As Ralph says "A Russian submarine, full of olympic gold athletes," the chances of movies based on books staying true are rare. It included the more important events, such as the deaths of Simon and Piggy, Ralph being hunted, and the group splitting in two. The sad part is that it has the potential to make it full of all the events, but leaves out lots of back story which might leave the viewers confused at the plot. It somes up the book in what a good hour and thirty minutes can, but should have been longer to appease the fan base of the books, as it generally had negative reviews.

Lord Of the Flies Final Project

My version

The birds flew away as the sound of a ship neared the island. Being hunted posed a problem to Ralph as he knew that he needs to find his way toward the beach. As the sound of the hunters closed in, he knew he didn’t have time to think, so he ran as fast as he could towards the beach. The countless thorns scratched against his body leaving their little imprints in the form of blood. At last, he reached the beach, his body bruised and bloody, his feet scorching on the hot white sand, and his mind thinking about following his father around as a young child again.

Alas, it was too late; the ship had already passed and was already stopping at the next island, presumably searching for signs of life or just restocking on supplies. The grey smoke from the ship rose up into the air, matching the one from the fires behind Ralph.

“No! No! It can’t be! My only chance of rescue, gone,” Screamed Ralph at the top of his lungs.

“Just give up now,” said a remarkably familiar voice.

“Where’s Jack?” “He went back to the cave,” said the voice, now full bloodlust.

“Tell me one thing, what do you feel about that? The ship just passed by and missed us. You know why it missed us? Because of you and your stupid hunting group only used the fire to cook, we coulda been off this island by now and back at home by now if you all had just listened to me, the chief instead of the babbling idiot Jack.”

The hunters tied Ralph up and took him to Castle Rock for Jack to see.

“Well, chief, here’s what you wanted,” Said Roger.

“Just put him to the side and go hunt the sow, I’m top bored to do it right now.”

“Not so fast hunters, haven’t you realized it yet? Haven’t you noticed that it was me who killed Piggy, it was me who hunted Ralph, and what has Jack been doing? Nothing, he just sits there and gives orders while we have to do the work and listen to him talk all day long. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone such as me, who does work and just doesn’t sit on his lazy butt, is chief?

There was no response, making it the first time that there was complete and utter silence on the island.

“What? You don’t want me to be leader?” The only noise, somewhat amusing, was the noise of crickets chirping, until Roger stepped on it.

“There goes you stupid excuse, now get back to-” Before Jack could finish, Roger threw the spear and impaled Jack right in the heart much to the horror of everyone else. Jack’s body rolled off the cliff and into the jungles below.

“There, now I will be chief,” Said Roger with a sick, cynical grin.

Three weeks had passed since Roger took over the island and everything was quiet, practically dead silent. Only the littleuns, with their child-like innocence, were talking to each other every now and then. This new shift of power seemed to bring a new way of life to the island, as the wind was now cold and dry, the animals were quiet and reclusive, and the island itself seemed to become more demonic.

The fire, nothing more than ash and burned twigs, had no use, and the trees needed to make the fire, were burned during the Great Fire of Britain as SamnEric called it. All the pigs were hunted and stored in the last remaining shelter so the insects won’t be able to get them. Ralph was the only one left with no paint on him since he was merely a prisoner and not actually part of the tribe. Roger also didn’t wear any paint since he said

“I don’t need a mask.”

The long rainy, silent days was one of the things Roger enjoyed, besides punishing people. Usually he would punish someone if they did something without his permission, such as when a littleun brought the head of the sow still impaled on its stick, now nothing but a skull.

As night crept upon the boys and the Sun sought shelter away from them, they heard a voice they thought was long gone.

“Pssst, come here.” The boys passed it on as nothing but the wind, but Ralph knew better. He felt the fear creep back into him and start to ooze into his brain. When he turned around, there was nothing there. He quickly turned back around and prayed it would go away. The wind, with an eerie whistle, crept past his ears as if it was saying Ralph. Now he knew what was happening, he crept up along the edge of the cave and said

“Jack? How are you still alive?”

“The poor bastard didn’t throw the spear with enough force to pierce the bark armor I had on.”

“Bark armor?” Ralph said in a confused fashion and thinking about how stupid Jack sounds saying that.

“Yes, now wake everyone up so we can get away from here.”

For once, Ralph was happy to see Jack, but soon, the happiness manifested into malice as he remember how Piggy and Simon died under his rule and how he was hunted.

“Why should I help you? You tried to kill me.” Jack, about to reply, didn’t when he felt the spear Ralph was hiding against his neck.

“Look, I can help, I have a hiding place and have food, how do you think I survived so long on my own?  For once, stop being silly and listen to me.”

After hearing those three words, stop being silly, Ralph quickly jumped up and woke up SamnEric,

“Quick, wake up the other boys and tell them to meet us on the bottom, and don’t wake up Roger.”

Before going downhill, Ralph pictured Rogers face one more time, the stubby moustache, the small eyebrows, and the parted, wet hair, all reminded him of something to terrible.

“Okay, everyone here?” asked Jack.

“Yes, that’s everyone.”

“Good, now, here’s the plan, what we will do is steal the pigs from Roger tomorrow as he goes to search for us, I have devised a plan and found a perfect route to Castle Rock without being caught, here it is,”

Jack pointed to the drawing on the floor and explained everything clearly. The next day, after finally getting some peaceful sleep, the boys made their way to Castle Rock following the route and doing exactly what Jack said. Every five minutes, they hid to make sure they weren’t being followed and soon, they made their way up to the top.

Roger wasn’t there, as Jack as said, he was out on the other side of the island looking for them. Jack was right behind them, instead of looking for meat, he was grabbing the spears and painted his face red, white, and black, but the paint slowly started to fade.

“Hurry up you idiots, get the meat so we can get out of here.”

“We’re going as fast as we can, so just get off our back and shut up,” replied Ralph, with a proud grin.

As dusk approached, the sound of whales homed in near the island, a sound that frightened the boys. But as it got closer, they realized it wasn’t whales, it was a ship. The ship, silver in color, was approaching the island and the boys, with new found excitement, ran to the beach and started a fire so the ship can see them. Soon, Roger, apparently having the civility knocked back into him, joined them by adding a few pieces of twigs ad leaves. Along the shore dropped a ladder, from which a Naval Officer used to climb down.

“Brilliant fire you kids have made, excellent use of the resources, you all our British right?”

“Yessir, we are British, but we didn’t use all the resources, we sort of burned the entire island down.” Replied Jack in a week voice.

“Well, I don’t expect that from the British, after all, we are much more civilized than those Germans. Come, I will tell the others to get you a shower or few ready for all of you and we will get you a haircut and some fish and chips to eat. You want to look clean in front of your mum don’t you?”

“Yessir,” Replied Ralph this time in a voice that showed excitement, as he was finally going home.

Rational

The reason I chose to start my version at the end of the story is due to the fact that there were so many possible ways to continue the story from that point. Golding had his reasons to end the story over there, as in the original, The naval officer spots the fire and kids and rescues them, while in my version, Ralph reaches the shore to late and misses the chance as the Ship is inspecting the next island a few miles away.

Roger had the potential to do everything that happened in this version of the story. He was cold, cruel, sadistic, and didn’t care if he had to kill a human being. He was the true chief of the tribe but as he was somewhat of a silent person, he worked in the shadows. Jack himself chose not to pick a fight with him when Roger nudged him out of the way. If Jack represented someone such as Hitler, and he had a fear of Roger, what would make Roger represent? It wouldn’t be a person, but more along the lines of greed, sadism, the inhumanity and savagery found in humans as their true colors are revealed and they aren’t bound by civil morals and laws.

Last but not least, I chose to end this version with the naval officer finally showing up as a sign that whenever one succumbs to power and can’t get enough, as Jack is portrayed, going as far as to get Ralphs help so he can take back control, there will be morals and laws that will be followed sooner or later. The exact moment when Jack takes back control, the ship shows up and stops him. Along with the fact that he, instead of grabbing food like the others, grabs the spears, shows just how violent he can be as they were used for hunting the pigs, stabbing Simon, and torturing others.

You Can't Have It All

But you can have the old school markets with their low prices and foods with funny names. You can have your little sister knock on your door at three in the morning innocently asking, are you awake? You can have the humming of bees and the gleaming eyes of rabbits that says, i'm sick of carrots. You can have those warm summer days where you spend your time in the sun and at the beautiful sandy beaches. You can have the questions of your friends, funny, yet akward, like the videos of cats you see on Youtube.

You can have the ice cream cones with the bits of fudge at the bottom. You can have the pair of shoes which you wear everyday since their lucky. You can have the pizzas at Italian restaurants, so steamy, filled with culture, and every bite contains a bit of its makers stlye. You can have all the foriegn languages in the world, until you realize that even knowledge, has a limit. You can have the sweat trickle down your body as you work your way up the mountain. You can have the heavens until you realize you would get the hells. You can have the newborn, so delicate, precious, and still seeing the world upside down. You can have the giant mansions and the fancy cars, until you finally notice, that they are just tools.

You can have the lightsaber duels with your friends. You can have all the books in an empty world, but even books don't talk back. You can have the treehouses, so free, your world. You can have the lush forests of the Amazon, the glaciers of Antartica, or the deserts of Africa. You can walk along the shores of the Caribbean, or just relax in your own backyard. You can have your friends yelling you can do it, when you try to win at arm wrestling. You can have the rush of wind on your face as you ride the bicycle down the hill. You can have the cuts and bruises, but they can't slow you down. You can have the strings of a harp, nothing alone but beautiful together.

You can have the songs that touch your soul, or the ones that let you be yourself. You can have your mom yelling no Rick when her favorite soap opera characters break up. You can have the barking of dogs when you walk past a house. You can have the basketballs, footballs, or the tennis balls, even though you really love the water. You can have the Rolex watches and Louis Vuitton clothes. You can have the Indian spices and the American hamburgers with to much scent or flavor. You can have respect for others just as they have respect for you. You can have your first love, even though you know it won't for out. You can have the thoughts of wanting to fly like an eagle, wanting to soar through the skies. You can't have the love of those who fall into a black sleep, breaking your heart with agony. But you can have the family get togethers filled with laughing, crying, and love.

Peppermint Leaf-Benjamin Moore, 2033-20

The prisoners,
Feeling ease,
In a land that they please.

They got here
In a little brown canoe that wobbled,
Going through the thick supernatural fog,
Landing on the sandy beach,
They were happy.

The island was
A paradise,
But now,
they're scared,
Wanting to leave their cells,
Leave the demons of humanity.

Insanity
Common now,
Screaming
Arguing
Then silence,
As haunting as
The death of a loved one.

Everywhere they saw,
Green demons ravaged the landscape,
They cried out their names,
Come to us
We can be your saviors.

But no,
The prisoners knew better,
They knew not to listen to
their guards,
That they must not lose
Their sanity.

The green demons were
The obstacles in life,
They must overcome them,
Defeat them.

Then they woke up,
And realized it was all a dream,
Not a dream
But a nightmare.

With new filled knowledge,
They went outside,
To the fresh scent
Of the peppermint leafs.

Book Review

 Lisey's Story by Stephen King

Publisher: Scribner

Genre: Psychological Horror

Where I Got It: My uncle sent it to me as a gift.

One Sentence Summary: Lisey Landon is married to world renowned author, Scott Landon; two years after he dies, Lisey begins to understand her late husband's life and learns that even he wasn't perfect as she must now face his demons.

First Sentence Of The Book: To the public eye, the spouses of well-known writers are all but invisible, and no one knew it better than Lisey Landon.

First Chapter Review: The first chapter starts off with Lisey explaining a bit about her marriage and how she has appeared on magazine covers due to being married to Scott Landon. It quickly changes when Liseys sister, Amanda, arrives and helps her clean out Scotts old office suite. She finds that there is a notebook with numbers going up to 846. The numbers correspond with pictures of her and Scott, with the ones that aren't in the notebook having her named.

Verdict: I personally believe that this story is one of Kings greatest works. It takes the fathoms of literature to a new level. I recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy or horror, or anyone willing to try anything new. It clearly shows how the deep human emotions can go.

Cover Comments: The flap has the outline of a shovel on it with flowers covering it. The metal part has been cut to give a small view of the cover. Once the flap is lifted, it shows the Boo'ya moon, which is where Lisey has to go. It is quite beautiful and intricate with the word baby on the upper left and babyluv written in cursive on the lower right.

Found Poem

The Darkness Within

The tide was coming in,
Ralph chose the firm strip as a path
Pacing by the water,
He found himself understanding the wearisomness,
He stopped.

The time had come,
This meeting must not be fun
But business.

They never had a assembly
In which they boys were
Darkish figures.

The beastie, the snake
Littleuns talk
Nonsense, Jack said.

A sound, half-laugh, half-jitter, rose among the boys,
Don't do it again,
The assembly was silent.

The thing is-fear cant hurt you
More than a dream,
Unless we get frightened of people,
Be happy.

Rooted far down in the springs of sorrow,
The littleuns wept
Shut up, shut up!

The last laugh died away,
Am I a hunter, or am I not
Not at night.

By now, whatever sunlight had reached them,
Was shining like fire.

We were happy,
But now,
Things were going rotten,
As Ralph lost himself in deep waters.

Breaking up sanity,
Sitting there
Telling people what to do,
Jack grumbled,
Then he stopped
As the beast laughed.

Where I'm From

I am from bicycles, from Harley and Schwinn.

I am from the big red house near the pool.

I am from the rocky backyard hill, which is all brown and covered with rocks, the king palms, that have beautiful, sharp leaves.

I am from three day weddings and straight, black hair, from Alia and light skin and Toor.

I am from the feuds and the expenisve dinners at lavish five star restaurants.
From "You should be a doctor," and "your the heir."

I'm from Pakistan, intense chocolate mints and red hot gum.

I am from the piles of family photos in the drawers and on the bookshelf.

I'm from the family that sometimes wakes up early to pray since its one of the pillars.

From the fights over maturity which always end up with me involved, the screaming parents, and the card games my uncles always win.

Japan Disaster Story

The silence was finally broken. Even from 10 miles away from the shoreline, the barely audible sounds of waves crashing onto the beach was heard. I quickly got into my capacious car and made one quick out the window to see the sky was no longer azure, but a deep gray. I drove as fast as possible to avoid any oncoming disaster, but alas, I was to late. I was quickly preceded by two cars when I began to decelerate when out of the blue, it started raining. It felt as if we were going to be deluged in it. On my way to home, I felt a sudden pang when I realized we lived close to shore. As I raced through Fukushima, I noticed that the tree next to me was shaking, at first confused, I quickly realized my worst nightmare is coming true-we were experiencing a earthquake.

I quickly got out of the car and ran as fast as the wind to the fish market nearby and hid underneath the table. The room was filled with copious amounts of fish which caused it to have a horrid, revolting smell. Realizing how crucial this time was, I grabbed some fish and stuffed them into my coat. I then took off my shirt and grabbed some more fish to put into it just incase we needed more rations. As the shaking stopped, I walked outside to see a junkyard in what used to be the park.

Being  a fastidious person, I looked around slowly and carefully for anything that will help me carry the fish but found nothing. I also noticed a black sedan underneath a fridge and couch. Knowing that my family made a plan incase of disasters just like this, I figured that I should make my way to the hill a few blocks away from the house as it was the highest area for miles. Being adept to noticing small details, I managed to find the hill following buried signs that were once available for eyes to see.

Our neighbors were also on the top of the hill along with a few other families from the cul-de-sac. We knew we were going to be up here for a while, so we decided to banter around for a while. I tried to facilitate the time we were up here by passing around the board games that my wife brought for the kids but it did no good.

As the sky cleared, we all decided it would be best if we stayed up here for a while and as soon as we agreed, came the sounds of water crashing from everywhere. Just as I had seen in movies, it was a tsunami, I thought Japan would never see one but I was wrong. As cars and boats collided in the water, trees were ripped out of the ground, people were screaming for their lives. But we knew better, we could do nothing. we were trapped up here like sitting goose and were going to stay up here. As the waters ravaged our rooms and killed our people, we were watching in horror and disgust.

Looking for a Fight

Looking For a Fight
Reviewed by Saad T.

Lynn Snowden’s book entitled Looking for a Fight, is a captivating, emotional story about a young woman named Lynn trying to find a way to let go of her anger. The story has somewhat a form of suspense and is filled with humorous quotes. Lynn soon feels the need prove to her friends and family that she can take care of herself. She also learns that once learned, violence cannot be forgotten.
The story starts off with Lynn, a marathon runner who just finished the New York Marathon, telling about her divorce and how her friends and family feel she is vulnerable; in reality, they are just trying to take care of her as she just got through a divorce but her anger gets the best of her. She decides the best way to let go of her anger is to take up boxing, and that’s what she does. After learning a bit more about it, she tries to get into the gym Gleasons, a world renowned boxing gym known for training champions such as Mohammed Ali and Mike Tyson. As she goes into the gym, she gets a new perspective of boxing, what she thought would be an easy way to relieve pressure turns out to be the challenge of her life. As she notices that the rings have spots of blood, the boxers are moving at inhuman speeds, and that the training are going at each other at full force, she realizes this place isn’t for cowards.
After getting a trainer, who is a Hispanic named Hector with a thick accent; she proves she is up to the challenge of going into a real fight to face off an opponent. As Hectors training proves to be tough, she shows she isn’t ready to give up despite all the bruises, blisters, and scars she gets. She learns the reason behind Hector’s tough training is due to the fact he is a past winner of the Golden Gloves, a boxing tournament where boxers from all over come face to face in a brawl to see who gets crowned champion.
As the story progresses, you learn more about her life and begin to understand her view of the world. She soon starts to have health problems for unknown reasons. Her body starts to respond to hr training as her legs become more muscular, her back becomes more profound, and her stomach becomes harder. After months of training and multiple visits to the doctor, the week of her big fight finally shows up and after she win, she quits due to her not feeling right about boxing.
All in all, the book is great. The story is well written and shows how complicated and difficult it can be to face your fears. The way she describes her opponents’ jabs to her feel so intense and life like, you can practically feel them. The training starts to affect her life as well since she develops a “hit not think” reflex that reacts never she is nervous. It can get a bit boring at times since the chapter to chapter recounts of her sparring become monotonous, but it soon picks up the pace with hard hitting action. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to get into the depth of the human mind to see how far one would go to prove they have a place in this world.

What I Believe

I believe that a newborn in a gift,
A gift you must keep.

I believe that laughter is the secret to a good life,
Without laughter,
You're as much fun as a clock.

I believe that reading to others,
Will make you feel better
Only if you like reading.

I believe that a car is a box,
A box with fancy equipment
And wheels.

I believe that lying down on a soft bed,
Is like lying down on a cloud.

I believe it is okay to be afraid of the dark,
Because everyone is afraid of something.

I believe that a persons' eyes,
Are a door
To a world full of magic.

I believe that going to the zoo,
Is like going to visit family
Who celebrate too much.

I believe that fear can be dispelled,
As long as you have faith,
Anything can happen.

I believe that eating fresh cookies,
Is like eating out of an angels' hand.

I believe that there is no wrong or right,
Just opinions.

I believe that a child's imagination,
Is as powerful as the ruler
Of the world.

I believe that creativity,
Des indeed come in all shapes and sizes
But the awkward ones are the best.

I believe that school can be fun,
If you can find amusement in fractions.

I believe that making friends is a goal,
A goal one will never achieve,
As you can never have too many friends.

I believe that a garden of roses,
Is a garden of love.

I believe that crying is human,
That everyone should cry
Even if they're fine.

I believe that we're all trapped,
wanting to be free
Like a bird above the clouds.

The Marvelous Misadventures of Billie Jean

There once was a man named Billie Jean. Billie was a good kid, he helped his parents, studied for school, did all of his chores, and always slept early so he would be fresh in the morning. The day Billie Jean was born, it was as if the heavens themselves were celebrating. There were rainbows everywhere as far as the eye could see, hell, it was so good, Osama Bin Laden turned himself in along with his son Mustafa. That day was said to be the best day the Earth had in 2 billion years. Infact, it was too good....

The day after Billie Jeans 25th birthday, he was driving home from work when as if by magic, a owl appeared in Billie Jeans car. The owl caused him to swerve out of control and drive off the hill! During the roll downhill, he was knocked out by the airbags and following that, his life was never the same again. He awoke, with his eyelids feeling so heavy that he couldn't open his eys. Terrified, fearing he was going to die, that this was his end, he whispered, "Never forget me", when all of a sudden, he heard something. Now, with his eyelids magically back to normal, he opened his eyes to find he was laying down covered in bandages with a huge light shining down on him. The voice said something again, but he didn't hear it correctly, but it was soothing and calm, yet it was cold like the touch of death. "No", he thought, this "thing" isn't human, no human could have a voice so cold like that. Now again, the voice said something, but strangely, it sounded almost feminine to which he looked to the right and saw a dark, grey, tall figure.

The figure appeared to have some human features such as a nose and a mouth, but other than that, it was other-worldly. "We were very meticulous while trying to heal you. We finished just a short while ago. Be careful though, if you move to much, agonizing pain like 1000 needles from Venusian gad stabbing you will come." Still terrified, Billie Jean started to scream, "WHY AM I HERE,WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?" To which the figure responds with, "We did nothing, we just healed you, if we had even waited just a minute, you would have died. I'll explain everything as soon as you calm down." After 30 minutes had elapsed, she finishes explaining that she needs him to stop the dissension of the two races from the planets Xeo-3 and Glorpfh*. As these two have been arguing and fighting for centuries, her little planet Zxeli**, which is located right at the center or those two, has taken to greatest toll from wars. Quickly thinking that being the hero would make him popular with the "ladies"(not thinking that the possibilities of meeting a Earthling there im impossible) he quickly agrees to help her.

After about a week of training, which involved listening to Snoop Dogg, Eazy-E, Tupac, and Eminem, he finally gets ready of traveling the 50 million light years it would take to reach the war zone. After two hours, they reach the planets and billie is sent out of the ship wearing a space suit to help him breath. But, he sneaks a microphone out, and not just any microphone, the brand new one made by the Neptunians that can make sound louder than 100 space ships crashing at once. He turns the mic on, and starts to......rap. Now, he knows this will decide the fate of the three races and raps the best rap he can think of, spitting them like a Spitterx in a music concert, and soon gets the opposing sides to assimilate with him and they too, start rapping in their own language. With his amazing, freestyle rap songs, he stops the war and is lionized by all three species.

A year has passed since the war stopped and Billie Jean was a hero, on his trip to Jupiter, he goes to pee and accidently gets blown out of the ship, with only a blanket and a pillow, Billie Jean was stuck on Pluto and geuss what..it was his birthday.

*Its pronounced Glor-fff

**Its pronounced Zee-cell-lee

The Day We First Fought...

The day the people of the small town of George assimilated into the city of York caused the city to be in a state of anarchy. The Republican people of the town of George didn’t get along with others in York. It seemed as though the marvelous city of York was going to be ruined by those two opposing sides. York was going to go to war with itself. Segregation had already started by the first week and the people of George were forced to live in Southern York, which had bad soil.

Then it came.Like a strike of thunder, the boom was heard. It was the sound of cannonballs destroying Southern York as the Northern York attacked. They killed people, destroyed houses and churches, and ruined all the hard work of the Southern Yorkers. The Southern Yorkers then conspired to kill the leader of the Northern Yorkers who was a powerful war monger. They succeeded in killing him in a coup d'état. They soon apprehended all of York and later, the rest of Eastern Europe. Their rule lasted 600 years, it ended due to the Romans conquering them.
