Poems

Poems can be as simple as a breeze,

they can be bleak and grey

or colorful like a rainbow,

they represent happiness before there was writing,

and they were written for the greatest people.

they fill our imagination,

and they make us dream.

Poems are what we say,

when singing nursery rhymes,

they can be lackadaisical,

serene,

prudent,

and be rebuked my many.

Many use them,

any language can make one,

the poets can be audacious,

and take you on a

journey. They could depict

animals or humans,

they can be as soft as fresh bread,

as cold as a killer,

as boring as a office meeting,

or as gentle to you as your grandma.

You embark on a quest,

which could confiscate your love,

or pilfer your brain,

it can make you cry,

or make you laugh,

they can be your friends,

or the thing that guides you.

Yet you wonder what to write,

then you here a “snap”,

then your hands become your brain,

writing down about what you just heard,

then

 you end up with poetry.

The Catcher in the Rye

He is lonely,

he stands on a hill,

waiting for a sign

a sign of emotion,

to help him leave,

the crumby school he is in.

He has wierd parents,

parents who are so

personal, if anything is revealed

they both have two hemorrhages.

His life is grey,

blank like the night sky in a completely air polluted

city, He has some skills,

such as lying,

but other than that,

he has no talents.

He ran on a icy, slippery bridge,

just to get to his teachers house,

he stood on a freezing hill,

next to a crazy cannon.

He is quite illiterate,

yet, he likes to read,

his gaze is solid like a rock.

But in the end,

he just sits there,

like a recluse from everybody,

in the darkness...

               The City of Bones by Cassandra Clare is an amazing story full of adventure, mysteries, humor, and is backed up by a suspenseful plot. It follows the protagonist, a girl named Clary and her adventures when she learns that what she believed for so long isn’t what it seems. Clary is a hot-tempered redhead girl who is 15, after a watching a murder in a all ages club which no one but her sees, she begins to question what she knows. The book is filled with magic seeing you can tell by the title of the story; its plot gets more intense and seemingly more brutal as it goes on. In the story, you will find warlocks, demons, fairies, unicorns, and other magical and mythical creatures not known by man. Humans are called mundanes by everything else for being “normal” and are thought to be very weak.

            The main characters in the book are separated into two groups, humans and Shadowhunters. Shadowhunters are warriors which protect humans from creatures such as demons, warlocks, etc. They use weapons which contain powers in them to slay the monsters. The main Shadowhunters are Jace, Alec, and Isabella. They live with another Shadowhunter named Hodge. The main humans are Clary and her friend Simon, Simon is described as being a sarcastic to the point of even being scolded for it. Isabella and Alec are siblings with Alec being the oldest and Jace is an only child with a mysterious past.

            The book relies on many scenes and is the first in a series. It’s a pretty big book since it reaches up to 512 pages, but the plot and action makes you want to continue reading the story again and again to get that suspenseful, scary feeling back in your chest. The author throws in a few twists in the story to make you want to read the other books in the series. There are several problems in the story that interfere with the plot and cause it to feel more realistic, those being Clary’s relationships with her friends and the Shadowhunters. The Shadowhunters make her feel less normal then what she thinks now and she is having problems dealing with boys. Her maturity in the story plays well with the plot since it seems to add on to it.

            The main antagonist of the story from the beginning is more of a group then a person or thing, the main antagonist of the story up till around end are downworlders, such as werewolves, vampires, etc. Near the end, a new, more powerful antagonist named Valentine shows up and reveals a deep secret to Clary which changes her and makes her rougher.

            Personally on a scale of 1-10, I would give this story a 10 being because it has been a long time since I read a book this good; the plot, the sequences, the drama, it all works together to form an excellent book and a great story to start a series of with. As stated before, the book makes the reader want to read the other books in the series so they can solve the problems left from the previous one. The book is great for anyone looking for a great time and a wonderful book they will never forget. There is never a time in the story in which you would feel bored or just want to close the book and forget it. It makes the readers connect to their younger selves when they believed in dragons, fairies, ghosts, and other things we believe is false now. It defies science and goes with more of a religious like structure as it goes through a catastrophic event happening, a person going corrupt and defying the rules, two different groups working together to stop it, and world we would perceive as non-existing due to the otherworldly beings. So, if anyone has the time, I suggest you get a copy of this book and read it.

Because of who she is,

I am (was) kind, caring,

gentle, relaxing, talented,

able to take challenges,

focus on my goals,

and not look like a fool when playing badminton.

for how she's taken care of me,

My average day



1. I stayed up late yesterday watching The Fresh Pince of Bel-Air.  (Awesome Show!!!)

2. I almost went oustside in my boxers but since I felt a breeze, I knew I had to put something on.

3. I started my computer only to find out that somehow I ended up watching Barney on Youtube last night.  (Hey, it was late, really can't blame me. I felt as unbalanced as a drunkard when your laying down on the bed)

4. The Barney theme song is stuck in my head.

5. Everytime I think about a comic or superhero, I start thinking about Spider-man dancing like a little girl to a wierd Japanese song.

6. Everytime I go to the mall, I feel as thoguh i'm going to get kicked out since I did get kicked out once.

7. I was sleeping in my room on the floor. (I realized that when I woke up)

8. Iroically, the air matress I decided to sleep on was on top of me when  I woke up.

9. When a computer goes to your screen saver after not being used, when mines went to it after I woke up, it said haha.

10. I forgot I was in 8th grade once and kept on roaming the 7th grade hall once in my other school so I was ten minutes late to class.

11. While playing basketball, I went to the half-court and threw the ball, it bounced back and hit me in the head.

The most exhilarating day of my life (after going to watch Jurassic Park)

        It was midnight, everybody was asleep, all that was heard was the the faint snore from the room downstairs. I was impelled to just jump out the bed and take a deep breath and yell "I FEEL AMAZING!!", but I didn't knowing that if I did, I might cause a riot. My cousin was sleeping after he urged me to stay awake (I knew he would fall asleep). I felt a profound intensity of adrenaline, I jutted out the bed and to the kitchen. Something strange was happening, it was as though the universe itself had stopped and I was the only human being left alive. The house was as silent as a mute and as dark as a moonless night. I felt like a sage who lived forever containing all knowledge about the Earth, but feeling as reclusive as a shadow. My voice reverberated in the empty halls, and all was done.

        The thoughts of a sudden disaster haunted me as though I was the evil in everyone's heart. My affability started to leave and I started to abhor everything and anything I knew, but then, there was a click, and I turned around, it was my cousin. He looked at me with a interminable gaze that was as despondent as a corpse. He began to entreatly ask me what was wrong to which I responed with "I can't sleep", So he turned around, and went to his room, leaving me empty halls of my uncle's house again (being a type of person who thinks of all possible solutions, I began to think that something bad was happening, I was the needle in a haystack, and that maybe I wasn't what I thought I was, if you counted all my thoughts and put them on paper, you could easily get a anthology of 1000+ pages if you typed them on Microsoft word). Then suddenly I felt amiss and out of order which I knew would cause my irascible side to come out since even the smallest of things could make me the living hulk.

I decided to fight the urges of going outside to play ding-dong ditch with the neighbors and drunk some warm milk to no prevail. Being a expert in remembering a design, I quickly found my way to my laptop and started to play Fancy Pants Adventure, By the time it was 6 AM, I felt the effects of the warm milk come into play and finally decided to go to sleep.

My uncle.

My uncle,
fun and spontaneous,
he is 3 years older than me,
but a lot taller.


He's like the crack in the breeze,
he thinks that the color white represents hope,
while I think it represents everything good.


He's not as dark as me,
but has a dark tan on him,
he's not as narcissitc as me,
but come's close.


He trys to light the fire,
in the deepest part of the ocean.
To him,
life is a game.


We live different lives, but
feel the same about videogames, as though they are our own.
He says dusk is over with daylight,
but I say shut up.


We are uncle and nephew,
but are close as brothers,
we love to eat chicken,
we don't think vegetarians are fun,
and love to bug my sister.


He was scared of my parrot,
to which I almost laughed to death,
I couldn't force him to come in,
since he's 7 inches taller than me,
when I said I will, he said bring it on.


So that's a bit about my uncle,

The day of complete wierdness

     I remember that yesterday, on my way to the gym in my apartment, I got off 4 floors above it, so I decided, "hey, i'm going to the gym, why not just go to it from the stairs?", as I started walking, I felt this strange presence, not the kind you get when you go to a pool and then you start swimming and it feel's like somebody is watching you giggling and calling you a bad swimmer, the kind you get when you walk into a airport that is completely empty the doors close, that kind. Anyways, I go to the 3rd floor, and feel as though somebody is with me, watching me. So, I quickly look up and see nothing but the stairs and bad paint job. I continue on my 1 minute journey like a person in Crime shows when they constantly look back to see if anything or anyone is following me. By the time I get to the 2nd floor, I feel as though I should make a run for it and go just two more floors a rapid dash to hopefully reach the gym.


     Then it happen's, I see him. He was wearing a light shirt, blue jeans, and seemed to have those Men in black glasses, I made a dash going as fast as I could jumping from the stairs, He ran to, seemingly as fast as me, I ran even faster, it was like a classic Tom and Jerry chase, with me being Jerry and him being Tom. Then as I got to the gym, I burst open trough the door. Then the folks in the gym quickly turned their heads to look at me as though I was a madman, i explained to them what happened and they, out of all the possible explainations in the world said he worked there. For a while I stood there, not speaking a single word, to embarrased to even say "HEY, YOUR THE GUY WHO CHASED ME DOWN THE FLOORS!!" to him when he came in, I of all people decided to just stay shut and start lifting the wieghts shorty before moving on to the treadmill then go back still full of embarrasement.

Oh just shut up already ya noob

     Why do videogamers act so tough, they pretend like they are the king of the world, only videogames aren't the world. God, I mean, everytime I play a videogame with other people, there's bound to be one person who says they are the best. If you are playing a shooting game and they are on your team, they keep talking on and on and on, it's like they had a sugar rush while trying to not to have a sugar rush. There speeches are interminable, it goes on and on and on, etc. I remember when I first played a game called Lost Planet 2, yeah, I didn't get the first one, so I was basically new at the series, so I get online, I get my headset and I'm like " hey guys, what's up?" and the next thing I know, I get crushed by a robot or something like that, then the person said " HAHA YOU NOOB!!" It confused me greatly, After that, he started sending me messages stating he's going to haunt me. Since I have a great deal of affability, I was not going to fight back, since fighting over a videogame kill abhors me, so I decided to go to his profile, and it turns out, he was a 9 year old. So impelled by my brain and profound hatred, I wrote some stuff to him and haven't heard of him since (the stuff wasn't the nicest thing one could say, then again, being me, I could have said something really mean).
     I geuss you could say I am very irascible, but then again, I like to hold in my anger to prevent something like a fued from happening, but it's true, I am very irascible. Many people who are playing a game with me act like they are very despondent so they won't lose, that gets on my nerves since they are trying to act innocent, which I know they aren't. If you really know who I am and not just the soft side of me, the one we all know, you would know that I would give somebody a very long tirade and then start acting like a sage to make them want to recluse themselves from society. Also, If you knew my funny side, you would know I would say "people are like cats, they scratch, they bite, and they like to climb trees like monkeys."

     So, I know that didn't answer any of the questions, but here's my answer, not the scientific answer made by Tom Cruise, my answer, here's how it goes with me saying it, "people on games that act so tough and mean like they are the best are very insecure, selfish, and jealous of my almighty skills in Monopoly and and Blackjack, since my voice is the mountains and there voice reverberates in it."

The confessions

1. I've stayed up reading untill 1 AM since sunday.

2. I found a $20 dollar bill on the floor in the beach, so I kept it.

3. I found myself wrestling a crab at the beach, something nobody saw luckily.

4. Today, I was watching Alien Vs. Predator Requiem when a part showed up of this girl going in a well dressed in white with a symbol on her back. I found out that wasn't in the movie, spooking me.

5. Last Friday, I almost got off 30 floors higher thsan mines in the elevator.

6. I lost $140 dollars.

7. Buy the time I realized I was eating Doritos while watching King Kong, it was already 1:35 AM

8. Today, after leaving the gym, I remembered I forgot my watch there.

9. The fact that people actually have 95% of the same genes as a chimp made me scream I told you so at my computer.

10. While checking for videogames, I found a ad for chicken wings saying buy it or else, it stopped there but there was a picture of a alien with a sharp object after that.

The accident of a lifetime

   I remember a time in my life in which I loved to do dangerous stuff, I still do but here's the problem, people call me crazy for doing them, but to me, it's a adventure full of thrill and excitement. Anyway, here's one of my "dangerous" stunts which turned out to be actually not that bad. It was a nice Saturday, me and my friend went outside to play a little football, after a few hours, he left, so I decided to ride my bike. I got my bike, it was cool, it had a nice flame design on it and I found it very comfortable. As soon as I got my bike out, I went uphill, as soon as I reached the top (I figure you know now what hill happen) I started getting on the bike and focusing on the rode. Then, as a jolt, I launced myself downhill, with speeds of up to 20 mph.


   Now you must know, this was a regular thing for me and I found it quite exhilarating, but there was one thing I didn't think about, a rock. Now, as soon as I felt myself going at least 15 mpr, I felt a bump, that set me off course and I felt myself take deep breaths wile griping the bike hitting the brakes, but the brakes weren't working. I looked up and saw the sidewalk, I was about to have a head-on collision with it. I closed my eyes but something was forcing them open, in a heart beat, I hit the sidewalk. For one little part of a second, I thought I was going to be safe, but that all changed when I felt myself getting a minimum of 5 feet of air. Then, for some reason I looked up and I saw a tree, I was heading straight for it. I hit it landing on the ground with a deep gash and a couple of bruises. I saw my friends come and they helped me home.


   After a while in the doctors, he told me to rest and never try that again, and I learned that I might be crazy after all and I shouldn't be doing stuff like that. After a few days of recovery, I did it again anyways and this time, I didn't crash.

Dear Angel,

    

     How's it going? Are you still trying to instill order in your house? I hope that you are still as spontaneous as ever and still  are trying to modify your room. But listen Carefully, it is imperative that you respond as soon as possible because I need your support to win a fight. The fight will be held at a court and will determine wether or not kids get to choose their own lunches and snacks for school. It may sound wierd, but remember we were in school, we wanted pizza but only got sloppy joes? Well if we win, that means any kid who wants pizza on a given day can get it or any other food they want.

     Your response will recur in the speech that will be given as my side of the fight. But moving on from the serious stuff, how's the family? Do they still mess around with the pivot aand make you want to write a anthology of your life with them? Do you still live in the house encompassed by apartments execpt for one side that they call a "garage" and does your brother still make you want to extricate him from your mind forever?

The Accidents

1. I fell off the bed three times on Saturday.


2. On Sunday, i stayed up late watching Men in Black.


3. I lost my glasses in my room today.


4. I was trying to make a fireball, but it didn't turn out so good, as my hand was red and my drawings were on fire.


5. On the way home, I thought I saw a sign that said study more for more fun, but it turn's out it said Pepsi.


6. While playing videogames, i once again fell off the bed, but this time, I landed face first on my controller.


7. Last Sunday, during dinner, I spilled water on my sandwhich, so I threw it away.


8. During breakfast on Sunday, I dropped onto the pancake i was eating since I was to sleepy.


9. Most of the time, I feel as though I've lost my USB even though it's plugged to my computer.


10. Before starting school here, I was in the pool of the hotel we were staying at and slipped into the pool which caused my to struggle to get back up even though I was surfaced.


11. Today, I half of my day trying to clean my room which made it even messier.

Memoir

     I rember this time when I still lived in my previous house, I was always outside, everyday I was outside, there was this anonymous guy outside everyday. He seemed to always be staring at me as though I was the only person he ever saw. He was always there when I went to the bus stop, came back from school, went outside, or even looked out the window. Everyday it seemed as though he sat in the same place at the exact location, in the middle of the bench across my neighbors house. I also realized that he was always dressed in a black suit with a fedora on as though he was hiding his eyes and face from everybody else except me. Sometimes it seemed as though he was looking into my window at my bookshelf as if he was looking for something once dear to him. His eyes seemed coal black that just made shivers come up your spine, I always got the feeling that something was going to happen one day. My friends called me crazy but I knew there wasn't something right about him, he always seemed confused yet knowingly doing what he was doing. 

Confessions

               8/31/10

1. I haven't cleaned up my room lately.

2. Last night I stayed up till 2:30 AM watching Jackie Chan movies.

3. Last saturday, I spilled a gallon of milk on the floor and had to clean it up before my mom got home.

4. I honestly thought I wouldn't pass the test last Thursday to get into Balboa.

5. I saw a man dancing crazily by the pool when i look out the window.

6. I dropped my glasses in the pool twice and needed help from others to get them back.

7. While at the gym, I almost caused the treadmill to flip over since the incline was to high.

8. I dived into the pool yesterday, only to loose my glasses again( I should really take them off).

9. I crashed my friends ATV, but luckily, I didn't break it.
